No, there are no fees to use our mobile banking app. It is a free service offered to all Fifth Third customers. However, fees may apply to certain services within the app, such as mobile deposit with immediate funds availability.

Yes, absolutely. We are committed to protecting your identity and your accounts. Every transaction is encrypted to help safeguard against unauthorized access. We also offer optional tools, such as alerts, to help protect your account. For more information, see our Privacy & Security Policy.

Dark Mode is a setting on your mobile phone. To enable Dark Mode, go to Settings > Display on your mobile phone. The Dark Mode selector may appear differently depending on your mobile device.

• Log in to the mobile app and select "Deposit" at the bottom of the screen. 
• Tap "New Deposit" and select the account where you'd like the money to go. 
• Tap the photo capture area to take a photo of the front and back of the check (you may have to allow the app permission to access your camera). 
• Take photos of the check using the automatic guide and enter the check amount. 
• Review the Funds Availability options and select one. 
• Review the deposit and confirm. 
• You'll receive a success message when the deposit is complete.

The cutoff time for mobile deposits is 8 p.m., ET. For more information, check the cutoff time and funds availability details in the mobile check deposit section of the mobile app or the Deposit Account Rules and Regulations.

Upon completion, a message will appear on your screen confirming that your deposit was successful. Additionally, you will see "Mobile Deposit" along with the dollar amount in your transaction history. Please retain the check in a secure location for 14 days. After 14 days, and after confirming the deposited funds have been applied to your account correctly, you may destroy the check—preferably by shredding it. Destroying the check prevents it from being presented for deposit another time. You will be liable for checks presented more than once.
