Jeff Bazoian

Jeff Bazoian is head of the Media & Entertainment group within Fifth Third Corporate & Investment Banking. Prior to joining Fifth Third, Jeff spent seven years at JP Morgan as a Managing Director in the Entertainment Industries Group. He managed a portfolio of media and entertainment clients focused on independent film and television companies, music, video games and digital media companies.

Jeff joined JP Morgan following 11 years at Rabobank International where from 2010 he was the Head of Capital Markets and from 2013 the CEO of Rabobank Securities USA. He led the bank’s Capital Markets Americas business focused on loan syndication, securitization products, USPP, Euro bonds and European equities as well as developing new markets in Latin America.

Jeff joined Rabobank International’s Securitization business in 2004 from CIBC World Markets where he was an Executive Director in the investment bank’s New York Asset Securitization Group. Starting with CIBC in 1996, Jeff worked in several of the investment bank’s businesses including Credit Risk Management and Corporate Finance.

Jeff earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University, Ontario, Canada.

2.	John Hein

John Hein is head of Commercial Real Estate within Fifth Third Corporate & Investment Banking, responsible for managing national real estate business lines, including Institutional, Middle Market, Homebuilder and Commercial Mortgage Warehouse Lending. John also manages the Bank’s strategic alliance with Bellwether Enterprise. The portfolio he oversees encompasses more than $20 billion in commitments.

John joined Fifth Third in 2008 and previously served as head of Commercial Real Estate, team lead in Special Assets, and head of Institutional Real Estate. His prior experience includes management of the national and institutional real estate practice at Lasalle Bank in Chicago.

John earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Indiana University and a master’s degree in economics, finance, international business and management strategy from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business. He holds Series 79, Series 63 and Series 24 credentials from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

John is a board member of the Community Investment Corp., which provides capital and management training for affordable urban housing in the Chicago area. He has served on the board of Inspiration Corp., whose primary mission is assisting the homeless with job training, substance abuse counseling, case management and temporary housing support. John is currently a member of The Real Estate Roundtable (RER) and has a long history of involvement and leadership with national industry groups.

Mike Hoin

Mike Hoin serves as Senior Vice President and Group Head of Dealer Services at Fifth Third Bank, bringing more than 35 years of experience in commercial finance and automotive dealer lending.

Before joining Fifth Third, Mike spent his career at Comerica Bank, where he served as Senior Vice President and National Dealer Services Department Manager, overseeing credit, portfolio management, and lending solutions for dealership groups across the country.

Mike began his tenure at Comerica in 1988 and held progressive leadership roles supporting dealer relationships throughout the Midwest and nationally.

He holds an MBA in Finance from Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Western Michigan University.

Joshua H. Landau

Joshua H. Landau is head of Corporate Client Banking within Fifth Third Corporate & Investment Banking, leading the coverage of specialty industry verticals including FIG, Healthcare, Energy, Tech & Telecom, Aerospace, Defense & Transportation, Metals Materials & Construction, International and Equity Fund Services. Prior to this role, Josh led the national Financial Institutions Group (FIG) as group head, covering insurance companies, fund managers, banks, mortgage servicers, and specialty financials.

Before joining Fifth Third in 2017, Josh served as the head of FIG-America and Global Head of Insurance at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. (ANZ) and held various roles as a FIG and Insurance banker at Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan Chase), BNP Paribas, UBS, and Firemark Investments over the past 30+ years. Josh has an MBA in Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business, and a BS in Business Administration from the University at Albany.

Josh serves as President of the International Insurance Society, a global insurance industry knowledge and educational organization, is a Member of the Advisory Board at the Center for Institutional Investment Management at the University at Albany and is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board of the School of Business at the University.

Bob Marcus

Robert (Bob) Marcus is co-head of Capital Markets within Fifth Third Corporate & Investment Banking. He is responsible for the Bank’s syndicated leverage finance, asset backed securities, asset based lending, equipment finance and public markets businesses.

Bob joined Fifth Third in 2009 from Credigy Corp., a subsidiary of the National Bank of Canada, where he was head of U.S. asset origination. Bob has over 30 years of experience in capital markets and investment banking. He has held senior leadership positions with Wachovia Bank, where he was Head of Loan Syndications; SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, where he ran Debt Capital Markets Origination; and CitiGroup, where he ran the Mid-Corporate Restaurant and Retail Group.

Bob is also a guest lecturer at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, where he co-authored and presents a case on acquisition finance to both the full-time and executive MBA students.

Bob lives in Atlanta and is active with animal rescue organizations across his community.

Pete Samboul

Pete Samboul is co-head of Capital Markets within Fifth Third Corporate & Investment Banking. A seasoned corporate and investment banking professional with over 20 years of experience in corporate strategy, investment banking, and infrastructure finance, with a focus on the transportation, aerospace, and energy sectors.

With a robust background spanning global and domestic financial institutions—including DBS, MUFG, and Wells Fargo—Pete brings deep expertise in banking and finance, risk management, and client relationship strategy. 

Throughout his career, Pete has advised on and executed complex transactions, including M&A, capital raising, and project finance, helping organizations navigate high-stakes decisions in capital-intensive industries.

Pete holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BS in Finance from California State University, Northridge.

Jeff Thieman is head of the Investment Banking Group within Fifth Third Corporate & Investment Banking. This includes the Financial Sponsors Group, the Finance & Advisory Group, and the Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory Group.

Since joining Fifth Third in 1999, Jeff has held a variety of roles that include credit/risk management, treasury management and distressed debt & restructuring. He previously led the Corporate Healthcare Banking group and healthcare sponsor leveraged finance business, including the bank’s healthcare sector vertical, distressed healthcare loan portfolio and sponsor leveraged finance.

Jeff earned a BSBA from Bowling Green State University.

 

Bob Tull

Bob Tull is head of Sales and Trading within Fifth Third Corporate & Investment Banking. Bob oversees the origination, trading, distribution and business development strategy across Fixed Income, Public Finance, Derivatives, Commodities, and Foreign Exchange. His organization focuses on delivering comprehensive risk management solutions, including interest rate derivatives, commodities, and foreign exchange execution—to corporate and institutional clients, while also originating bonds, notes, and other fixed income securities to provide liquidity and capital solutions for institutional and corporate investors.

Bob joined Fifth Third in 2000. He is a member of the Bank for International Settlements’ Market Participants Group, which developed the FX Global Code. He also serves on the New York Federal Reserve’s Foreign Exchange Committee, is a member of the American Bankers Association Securities Board, and was appointed to the Working Group on U.S. RMB Trading and Clearing.

Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The College of Wooster and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University.

Joe Ursuy serves as Executive Vice President and Group Head of Environmental Services and Renewable Energy at Fifth Third Bank, where he leads the bank’s strategy, portfolio growth, and industry engagement across both sectors.

In his previous role as Executive Vice President for Energy, Renewables and Waste at Comerica Bank, Joe founded the Environmental Services Group in 2006 and later helped launch the Renewable Energy Solutions Group, expanding the bank’s leadership in sustainability‑focused industries.

Recognized as a respected industry leader, Joe was elected to the National Waste & Recycling Association Hall of Fame in 2025. He also serves on the board of the Environmental Research and Education Foundation and is a frequent speaker at national industry events.

He holds a BBA in Economics from Northwood University and an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy.

David Whiting

David Whiting serves as Senior Vice President and Group Head of Technology & Life Sciences at Fifth Third Bank, bringing more than 25 years of banking and operational experience supporting venture‑backed technology and life sciences companies.

Previously, David was President of Comerica Bank’s Technology and Life Sciences Division, where he led a nationally recognized practice supporting emerging‑growth and mature technology companies across major innovation markets. His earlier roles at Comerica included Senior Managing Director and Senior Vice President/Group Manager within the division.

David began his career in operational leadership as Operations Director for Global 360 in Europe and previously held lending and team‑leader roles with Imperial Bank, specializing in early‑stage, venture‑backed technology companies.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas.

Craig Wolf

Craig Wolf is head of the Consumer & Retail group within Fifth Third Corporate & Investment Banking which includes Restaurant & Franchise, Convenience & Gas, Retail & Consumer Products, and Food & Agribusiness. Craig also leads the Institutional Client Group which delivers a wide range of banking services to our Family Office clients. Joining Fifth Third in 2014, Craig has also led Diversified Industries, Metals, Aerospace, Defense & Transportation, Equipment Finance and LaSalle Solutions. 

Craig’s experience also includes various leadership positions in Corporate and Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Leverage Finance, Leasing and Risk Management at Bank of America, NationsBank, and predecessor organizations. This experience includes leading the Bank of America CIB Credit Products team for the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific and the Mid Corporate/Middle Market Specialized Industries teams. 

Craig earned his Bachelor of Science from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
